Located in North Miami's guard-gated community of Sans Souci Estates, this 3,710 SF residence has been designed by award-winning architect, Kenneth Treister. Meticulously updated in 2005, this home offers a wealth of architectural details including a colossal pyramid-shaped skylight over a central great room allowing natural light to bathe the home in a soft glow. Fronting the property is a gated and walled courtyard, covered with lush foliage and colored glass. The courtyard itself is spacious and private, with a paved area, abundant yard space and tall bamboo, highlighted at night by warm spotlights.

Anchoring the house and flowing in a curved pattern, the brick flooring seemingly leads from one unique area to another guiding one through the house. Treister designed the home without 90 degree angles (except for skylights).  Curved, non-linear walls and soffits abound. Unique tiles, glass stones, colored glass windows and concrete & brick flooring add to the distinctive and unparalleled design. But the awe-inspiring feature is the voluminous ceiling topped by the pyramid-shaped skylight in the living room, which brings the outside, in.

For entertaining or just relaxing, the spacious rear yard offers privacy via a fence that is covered in beautiful "Blue Sky" vines from Southeast Asia.

Inside or out, front or back, this property is a dramatic piece of work by a world-renowned architect, artist and sculptor, who has left his creative imprint. Yet, it still conveys the warmth of a family home.
